Hello! My name is Canan, and I am seeking a caregiver to provide occasional relief for me for the palliative (!) care of my 91 year old mother. My mom has remained bedridden at this time for a year, but has no debicus or any wounds. She is ca. 45kg and speaks Turkish and some German. She is suffering from vaskular dementia (which is somewhat different from Alzheimer's due to "mini-strokes") Hence, primary responsibilities will include thoroughly cleaning her when and if bowl movement occurs (which is quite irregular and occasionally absent for long periods due to non-pushef or enforced feedings and/or hydration. Emphasis is also on providing therapeutic massages (to prevent further strokes and pressure wounds, and offering her bedside care, attention and brief companionship during waking/coherent times. Additional duties involve cooking and cleaning the used area in the kitchen. This position requires experience in caring for individuals with dementia (primarily vascular, possibly Body Lewey dementia), post--mini-strokes and myocardial infarction (Bundle Branch Block). She also has severe nystagism when being moved or rolled for change. Experience is a plus, but patience and gentle care are even more so. Absolute no nicotene consumption, hence non-smoking female individual is preferred. The work schedule is negotiable and highly compatible with the caregivers schedule. It could encompass just a few days in a months, or occasional 3-5+ days 24 hours live-in care. The salary for this position is 200 TL/hour.
